Accountable Leadership. Stronger Communities.
KENOSHA, WI – Dan McKnight, a dedicated community member with deep roots in Kenosha, has officially announced his candidacy for Kenosha County Board Supervisor in District 13. His campaign is built on a commitment to integrity, transparency, and ensuring every resident has a voice in local government.
“My mission is to establish a more direct link between our local government and the needs of every resident and local business,” said McKnight. “I am ready to bring principled leadership and focus to the Kenosha County Board.”
Rooted in Kenosha
A 2001 Bradford High School graduate, McKnight has called Kenosha home for over 25 years. He and his wife, Sarah, along with their two sons, have lived in District 13 since 2018. His professional career spans over two decades in the automotive industry, where he currently serves as a sales manager, honing skills in leadership, budgeting, conflict resolution, and customer service.
Driven by Community
McKnight’s journey toward the County Board began in 2019, fueled by a desire to give back. Though his initial campaign was interrupted in 2020, recent events have reinforced his commitment to step forward again. “My desire to protect the beauty and integrity of our community and the people that reside within it drives me to pursue this position,” he stated.
Key Priorities for District 13
The McKnight campaign is focused on common-sense, community-first leadership:
- Fiscal Responsibility & Transparency: Ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and government operations are open.
- Public Safety: Providing strong support for our police, fire, and first responders.
- Smart Growth & Infrastructure: Advocating for thoughtful development and necessary improvements.
- Local Control & Taxpayer Protection: Preserving local decision-making and keeping burdens low on residents.
- Accountable Governance: Maintaining open, consistent communication with the people of District 13.
“With your support, I will fight for transparency, fiscal accountability, and a local government that truly represents the people,” McKnight concluded.
